Our Friends
Without wanting to boast, we've been making a lot of friends recently. The world is full of very cool people doing very cool things, so we've been shaking a lot of hands (and flippers) and getting involved in lots of stuff.

It all started with one man taking up skating, quitting his job, and then skating further than anyone else ever had done. These days BoardFree encourages, assists and advises people who want to go off on their own long distance skateboard journeys for charity, and it's a skate school, too.

Lagoon Watersports
The fine people at Lagoon Watersports are passionate about doing things on water, and they feel just as strongly about giving their customers the same passion. If there's some kind of watersport that Lagoon don't deal with, then we'll eat our Chilled Turtle boat.

These dudes and dudettes like boards and water, and they're pretty good, too. We're very proud that they wander around wearing Chilled Turtle clothes, but at the same time we're a bit jealous that they're better surfers than us.

Sport doesn't get funnier than Aquaskipping. Stand on a cross between a bicycle and an iron horse with wings, and bounce! Flying across the water has never felt so good.

Paddle Round the Pier
Every year there's a weekend in June that sees thousands of people descend on Brighton for a little festival that is big on life. Brighton is home to a couple of piers, and although one of them isn't in the best of shape the race between the two is a highlight of the weekend.

Longboarding is the new black, we reckon, and rollsrolls are doing for longboarding what wheels did for bicycles, they make it a lot more fun. If we had to choose a favourite vehicle, it would probably have to be a VW camper. Luckily, we're friends with a wonderful Dorset-based company who hire out split screens and kombis. Oh the joy!

Brighton Surf and Lifesaving Club
Started by a throng of Aussies in the 50's, the surf livesaving movement has just reformed in Brighton. The BSLSC will be a community club, hosting events and courses as well as getting down to the nitty gritty of patrol, rescue and resuscitation on Brighton's beaches.
